Green extraction of fragrant and aromatic plants

Plant extraction on the basis of fatty acids to obtain fragrances

  • Use of natural, eutectic fatty acid mixtures for the extraction of valuable fragrances and aromas from plants, e.g. from roses
  • Development of methods for the isolation of fragrances from the extraction medium, e.g. by means of molecular distillation.
  • Recycling of the extraction agent
  • Avoidance of toxic, petrochemical solvents such as n-hexane
